Salinas, CA – September 2, 2021 - HeavyConnect announced today that its Food Safety and Compliance platform is now available on SAP® Store, the online marketplace for SAP and partner offerings.

HeavyConnect’s customizable software platform allows growers, processors, packers, and shippers throughout the food supply chain to document their standards compliance. Data from the ground level is collected in a field and facility-friendly app and synced to an administrative dashboard where it empowers managers to make informed high-level decisions.

“Offering our solution on SAP Store is a natural step for us as we continue to integrate throughout the supply chain,” said Patrick Zelaya, CEO and Founder of HeavyConnect. “Risk management and audit-readiness are a critical need in every step of food production. By offering a verified API with SAP technology and integrating with other software providers, HeavyConnect’s Food Safety and Compliance platform can offer customers more value as they share compliance and traceability data with regulatory agencies and buyers.”

Common compliance requirements documented on the HeavyConnect Food Safety and Compliance platform include:

  • The FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) methods of proactive risk management
  • Employee training and safety requirements regulated by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
  • Quality management documentation required by produce buyers
  • Worker time tracking and pay
  • Food safety audits for certifying bodies including GLOBALG.A.P. and PrimusGFS
